Beautiful Mountain You have ever seen

Richfield is surrounded by mountains towering over 10,000 feet. At an elevation of one mile you can enjoy the views from town or venture up into the hills for an up close experience.
National forest and BLM controlled lands begin on the edge of town. Within these lands are lakes and streams for fishing or just sitting beside and soaking up some nature.

The Paiute ATV trail is located within easy reach of Richfield, In fact it runs
right through town. This is the largest trail system designated for ATV use in
the nation. This famous trail is a 260-mile loop over three mountain ranges.
Much of it is located in the beautiful Fishlake National Forest or on lands
administered by the Bureau of Land Management. Elevations range from
5,100 feet to 12,000 feet. Mountains, canyons, forests, and deserts: this trail has them all! There are sections of the trail for all skill levels.

Paiute is pronounced \\\\\\\"pie-yoot.\\\\\\\" The trail gets its name from the Paiute Indian Tribe, which is native to Sevier County. The Paiute also connects with the Great Western ATV Trail, which stretches from Canada to Mexico. Most cities along the trail system have designated ATV routes to allow access to needed services by ATV travelers. You can even depart the hotel on your ATV and access the entire trail system. The trail system today exceeds 2000 miles as loops have been added and access into and out of towns and communities
have been added.
Guided tours and/or ATV rentals are available through private vendors. Each year in September, hundreds of ATV riders meet for the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree: six days of organized riding events on the Paiute ATV Trail and the Great Western Trail.
Though designated for motorized use, Mt Bikers and hikers and horsemen are more than welcome and are always treated with courtesy on the trails. The trail system is a true multiple use system for ALL people to enjoy in the manner they desire to enjoy it. You can bring your own machines or rent them locally.
